2003 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Toth is a quick, agile catcher who showed some of the best pop times at Chapel Hill at 1.93 and a couple of 1.95’s. His arm strength is fringy average but that isn’t that much of a factor with Toth’s quick release. He moves very well behind the plate and has excellent blocking ability. At the plate, Toth is a pull hitter with some strength to his swing. He hit a number of balls hard to left field. He could turn into quite a hitter at the next level. Nathan is an excellent student.
