Nick Silva is a 2005 middle infielder from Miami, Florida, with a strong and compact 5'8", 175 lb. frame. Silva has very good arm strength (86 mph) from the infield with quick actions and good footwork defensively. He is a right handed hitter with a compact swing and is very short to the ball. He has very good bat speed, and makes solid line drive contact with good balance in his swing. Silva has good hands at the plate, and showed the ability to use all fields. He is a solid all around player who has good baseball actions, and he can hit. He runs well and can really play the game.
