Patrick Cryer is a 2006 infielder from Joliet, Illinois, with a medium build at 5'10", 150 pounds. He hits from a slightly open, wide stance. He is quick to the ball, with a short compact stroke. He keeps his hands in well and goes to the opposite field with pitches on the outside half of the plate. He makes solid contact with good bat control, and has decent power. Defensively, he has average range, and a good glove with quick reactions. He is a solid defensive player with a good feel for the middle infield positions. Pat has good tools, and with gains in strength he will be a high level college prospect.
