Brandon Zajac is a 2011 LHP with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Cleveland, TN who attends Walker Valley HS. Excellent physical build, looks like a young Madison Bumgarner. Slow paced leg raise delivery, wrapped arm action in back, bit cross body, high 3/4's release point, throws downhill, loose out front. Fastball touched 88 mph early, settled into mid 80's, have seen 91 mph in the past, keeps FB low in zone, cuts occasionally. Soft CB spin, slider shape, will eventually be true slider pitcher with arm action. Didn't throw change. Reportedly throwing with sprained ankle, likely effected performance. Follow carefully this spring. Outstanding student, signed with Tennessee.
