Mason Roof is a 2012 RHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Towanda, PA who attends Towanda. Solid athletic build with projection. Interesting arm on mound. Long arm action in the back. Simple leg turn delivery. Clean mechanics on a donwhill plane with extension. Solid tempo and good mound presence, repeats delivery. Fastball consistent mid-80s topping at 86. Pounded the bottom half of the strike zone. Good feel for 71 mph curveball with 11/5, almost 12/5 break. Flashed 73 mph changeup as developing #3 pitch. Got outs. In the outfield, showed athleticism and good arm action and mechanics and 85 mph velocity. Rotational hitter at the plate. Long on the backside with a pull approach. Good student.
