Curtis Olvey is a 2012 SS/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Fairfield, OH who attends Fairfield. Very interesting two way prospect. Listed as a primary SS, the PG Scouting Staff liked him a bit more on the mound, though he showed tools that will play at either position at the next level. Clean easy mechanics and good balance on the mound with a sharp Curveball, showed a lot of potential as an aggressive strike thrower with mid 80's heat and projects for more. Had a short path to the ball with solid bat speed and quick hands at the plate with good contact skills and projects to develop power down the road. Also showed good body control and athleticism defensively at Shortstop. Interesting prospect to follow.
