Royal Good is a 2006 outfielder from Carson HS in Carson City, Nevada, with an athletic 5'10", 150 lb. frame. Good has very good speed running a 7.15-sixty on a very slow track. He also has great first step quickness on the bases and in the field. Good was clocked at 3.80 from the left side on a great drag bunt in the showcase game. Defensively he gets great jumps and can really go get balls in the gaps, and he takes great routes. He has solid arm strength and is accurate with his throws. At the plate he hits from the left side with a slightly open and upright stance. He has good bat speed and is very quick with balls on the inner half, but sometimes opens his hips early to turn on the inside pitch. Good battles at the plate and makes solid contact with his compact swing. He has the tools to be a very good leadoff hitter who can go get balls in the outfield. Good is also a very good student.
