Avery Bass is a 2014 C/RHP with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Sandy Springs, GA who attends The Westminster Schools. Medium build, looks strong. Shows a decent transfer behind the plate, footwork has room for improvement, consistently makes the throws. Right-handed hitter, flashes some hard contact, needs to make some mechanical improvements, shows some strength at the plate, some lift in his swing and potential for some power. Also pitches, reaches 75 mph, short arm action, throws a lot of strikes. Flashes a curveball with some downward action at 69 mph, pitches from the stretch. Good student.
