WP - Ryan Huerta is a 2005 1B/C from Kingman, AZ. Ryan has a large frame with a mature build. He has a good and durable catcher's body. Ryan does a great job of blocking balls in the dirt by using good energy and lateral quickness with quick feet. He has soft hands and receives the ball well. Ryan is flexible and agile enough to stay behind the plate in the future. At the plate, he holds his hands high and shows an average base with a small trigger to his approach. Ryan makes strong contact and is able to stay inside the ball and go with pitches. He has the ability to be an offensive catcher.
