Hunter Southerland is a 2013 C/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Northwest HS. Solid prototypical catcher's build, good present strength. Receives the ball well, good balance, quick clean exchange, athletic catching actions, playable raw arm strength, 1.95 best pop time. Switch hitter, better mechanics and bat speed from the right side, good balance and shift into contact right handed, swings hard, has some bat speed, and strength at contact, shorter wristy swing from the left side, looking for contact only. Graded out higher as a right handed hitter. Very good student.
