Jake Heck is a 2011 RHP/3B, OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Foster City, CA who attends Hillsdale. Lean athletic build, lots of room to fill out and add strength. Low 3/4 arm slot on the mound, long quick arm action, good late life on fastball, sound mechanically, big frisbee slider with late life, commands his fastball well, stays down in the zone, nice feel for pitching. Aggressive hitting approach, squares the ball up well, goes to all fields, will improve with small adjustments to approach and added strength. Solid student.
