2010 Canadian Top Prospect Showcase
Cory Duggan is a 2011 LHP/OF with a 5-9 139 lb. frame from Scarborough, ON who attends Cardinal Newman Catholic. Projectable two-way lefty with a thin athletic build that projects for significantly more strength. Showed good balance on the mound with good control and arm side run on the Fastball, showed a 12-6 Curveball and flashed a Changeup. Showed a bit better as an OF at this event. Quick hands at the plate, allowing him to consistently put the barrel on the ball and spray to all fields. Line drive hitter with good balance and solid bat speed, used a simple approach and went with the pitch well, developing power at present but projects to add some with physical maturity. Good OF actions and solid arm strength.
