Malcom Diaz is a 2012 RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends IBAHS. Loose athletic body, has some strength with more to come. Full hands over head delivery, full arm circle, loose fast arm, throws 89 mph to spots, flashes 91 mph at times, have seen up to 93 mph in the past. FB sinks well, occasional nasty cutting action likely unintentional. Soft curveball spin, throws CB for strikes to keep hitters off balance. Needs a change up, would strongly resemble Mario Soto with one. Projects lots of velocity, developing off speed will be key. Signed with Alabama State.

Malcom Diaz is a 2012 RHP/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Wide shouldered build, long arms, room to get stronger. Back turn delivery with low hands, extended 3/4's slot, falls off on release, didn't make delivery adjustments. Very strong arm, steady 91-93 mph fastball, misses up arm side consistently with fastball, can't get ball to glove side. Currently lacks feel for curveball, pronounced pause before release. Outstanding raw arm strength, lacks other pit, Verbal commitment to Alabama State.
