Jodd Carter is a 2014 OF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Hilo, HI who attends Hilo. Medium frame, lean athletic build. Short to the ball, low effort well controlled swing actions with good bat to ball skills. Setup in box creates some rigidness to swing actions and prevents him from fully incorporating lower half to generate significant power, but has the ingredients to be a productive hitter at the next level and will benefit greatly from improved mechanics. Uses all fields, simple contact oriented approach, simple swing, uses all fields. High defensive energy, short arm action, projectable tools. Good student, named to top prospect list.
