Samuel Gaitan is a 2011 RHP/2B with a 6-2 163 lb. frame from Forest Hills, NY who attends St Francis Prep. Tall athletic build. Busy delivery and swing, can throw off balance at times. Improved balance and coordination will allow for significant improvement. Works downhill, pitches to bottom of strike zone. Good movement on offspeed pitches, 11-5 Curveball has solid break, good fading action on Changeup. Fastball showed arm side run. Flashed bat speed at the plate, needs to simplify. Good student.
