Sam Kikla is a 2006 3B/RHP from Palm Bay HS in Malabar, FL, with a 6'2", 180 lb. frame. He is a good runner with nice straight away speed as well as game quickness. He ran a 6.95 sixty and has very good range in the outfield, and he anticipates fly balls well and gets good jumps. Offensively he is a right handed hitter who hits from an open stance with a quick bat. Kikla has an advanced approach at the plate, and gets leverage in his swing at contact showing power potential. He is currently a gap to gap hitter with the potential to be a run producer at the next level. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot, and has a slight drop and drive delivery. His fastball has good sinking action at 79 mph, and he will cut it at times as well. Kikla hits his spots well with his fastball as well as his 68 mph curveball and 72 mph changeup. He plays hard and hustles at all times. He is a good player that will get the best out of his talents. Sam is also a good student.
