Ryan Thurston is a 2013 LHP/OF, 1B with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Madison, IN who attends Madison. Lean build with lots of room to fill. Medium length arm action, throws from a high 3/4 slot. Arm works well with extension out front and balance throughout delivery. Mixes three pitches and has feel for each of them. Fastball was consistently in the high 70s and changeup at 72 showed sink and 1/7 curveball had good spin. Left-handed hitter with a wide base and open stance. Rotational swing with extension out front. Line drive swing plane that had hard contact to the pull side. Ball came off the bat well. Good student.
