Daniel Belmont is a 2012 RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Puerto Rico BB Academy. Slender young build. Hands over head delivery, stays back and balanced well, good pace, long loose arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, some effort on release. Fastball to 85 mph, mostly straight, works downhill well with fastball. Curveball showed good tightness and occasional power break, rare change up. Threw to spots and tried to pitch. Likely to improve. Good student.

Full hands over head delivery, good balance, repeats well, stays on line, arm works smoothly, low effort release, throws consistent strikes with all pitches. Fastball to 84 mph, mostly straight. Shows some feel for curveball, fair spin and 11/5 shape, tends to slow arm on change up but keeps it low. No present swing/miss pitch but firm enough stuff and throws strikes. Good student.
