Jackson Smith is a 2013 RHP with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Hartselle, AL who attends Hartselle HS. Large build with very good present strength. Low effort delivery with an easy, loose arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, stays balanced and repeats his mechanics, throws downhill. Mid 80's fastball, topped out at 85 mph, have seen 87 mph this summer. Good late fastball life, spots his fastball and will come inside with it. Change gets same late life as fastball, good feel, solid pitch. Inconsistent curveball spin, delivery may be more conducive for him to explore a slider. Plus mechanics and an idea how to pitch.
