Jason Phillips is a 2013 1B/3B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Douglasville, GA who attends Chapel Hill HS. Large strong frame athletic build. Has a short arm action at first base, throws are online and have carry, has a good glove at first base. Starts with a square stance at the plate with a leg lift trigger, quick hands, loose wrists with flip, good extension, shows bat speed, makes line drive contact, gets the barrel of the bat to the ball, has leverage in swing, good fluid swing, pop in his bat, hits to all fields. Is an interesting prospect to follow and is an outstanding student.
