Clay Lawless is a 2012 OF/2B with a 5-11 158 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Henry Clay. Very slender, athletic player with lots of room to fill. Blazed to a 6.49 sixty yard dash, second best of the showcase. Speed is his calling card on both offense and defense. Good agility and quick feet in the outfield. Fields the ball well and showed average arm strength. Long rotational swing at the plate. Hits from a square stance. Stays balanced at plate. Bat will improve as more strength is added. Interesting athlete whose speed is a plus tool. Good student.
