2004 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Spencer is a 2005 grad from Santa Monica High School in Los Angels, California. He stands 5'10" with some good muscle tone and room for added muscle down the road. He comes to play, shows you he enjoys himself on the baseball field and is willing to take any advise to improve his overall game. Spencer throws from a standard 3/4's release point with some nice arm speed and looseness out front. His best pitch is his 64-65 mph curveball that has good depth and tilt and he can command it. It should be an especially tough pitch against LHH's. Spencer's fastball topped out at 79 mph and he also throws a 70-73 mph change up. Spencer is a good athlete who has the chance to improve and contribute at the next level. Good lefty!
