Tyler Alamo is a 2013 C/IF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Buena Park, CA who attends Cypress HS. Outstanding athletic build, big, strong and loose. Low flexible set catching, simple compact actions for his size, low effort release, doesn't rush it, strong arm, throws easy and accurate, 1.87 best pop. Right handed hitter, spread open stance, long and strong swing, very loose and extended out front, present bat speed with strength at contact, 7.05 runner and moves for a catcher, had two game triples, gets the barrel out and drives the ball, swing can be shortened to the ball but works for him now against good stuff. Verbal commitment to Cal State Fullerton.
