Jarrett Montgomery is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Indianapolis, IN who attends Lawrence Central HS. Solid athletic build, good present strength especially in the hips and lower half. Back turn delivery with a slow paced hand drop, deliberate and low effort, tight 3/4's arm slot. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, very good running life at times, also dropped down low 3/4's in the mid 80's to right handed hitters for a different look, primary fastball pitcher. Two different types of breaking balls, bigger slower curveball had good 11/5 shape, still working on release point consistency with shorter slider. Gives the impression that he has more velocity in his arm due to his low effort mechanics. Verbal commitment to Florida State.
