Taylor Black is a 2012 MIF with a 5-8 144 lb. frame from West Springfield, MA who attends West Springfield. Medium, athletic frame with lots of room to fill out. Solid middle infield prospect whose tools profile at both 2B and SS. Hands fielded cleanly and in front of his body. Feet were light and were able to get to balls. Solid range with average arm strength. Quiet approach at the plate, with high hands and a high back elbow. Line drive swing with strength in his bat. Short to the ball with good extension. Stays inside the ball and showed the ability to hit the ball to all fields.
