David Hesslink is a 2013 LHP/1B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Chevy Chase, MD who attends Bethesda Chevy Chase HS. Long, lean build with lots of room to fill out and add strength. Pitches from low 3/4 slot. Does a good job of mixing pitches and working in and out and up and down with fastball. Slightly across body with delivery but does a good job of throwing strikes. Developing feel for 1/7 curveball with big break. Has present pitchability. Patient approach at the plate. Loose swing bat. Rotational swing with an all fields approach. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect Team.
