Nick Nelson is a 2013 RHP/OF, 1B with a 6-6 180 lb. frame from Johnston, IA who attends Johnston HS. Extra large projectable frame, lean wiry build long limbs. Clawing arm action, fastball has tail to it, good balance on the mound, is a competitor, throws strikes with his pitches, throws a curveball at 58mph. Throws from a low arm slot in the field, short arm action, has arm speed, good approach to the ball. Has lift in his swing at the plate, shows bat speed, power potential, good balance at the plate. Has a propectable frame and is a prospect to follow.
