Ryan McSwain is a 2014 OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Redwood City, CA who attends St Francis HS. Strong lean athletic build, projectable. Smooth load, quick hands, tall upright stance in the box. Low effort swing, good barrel whip, lacks front side to hit against to use all of raw power but still drives the ball with authority with present mechanics. More power to come, loose wrists, aggressive approach, big upside with the bat. Moves well in the OF, good arm speed, good body control and footwork, online carry to accurate throws. Interesting young player to keep an eye on. Good student.
