Sam Schaut is a 2014 OF/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Essex, MA who attends Governor Dummer Academy. Has a large athletic projectable frame with a solid build. Has arm strength from the outfield with carry on his throws. Has good footwork and a quick first step to help him cover lots of ground in the outfield. Has a wide stance at the plate with a good fluid swing. Has bat speed with lift in his swing and hits the ball to all fields. Did a nice job of hitting in the games saying back on a curveball and driving it for a single. Is a very good student.
