2004 Midwest Top Prospect Showcase
T.J. Harstine is a 6'6" 215 right handed pitcher from Canada with a very nice pitcher’s body. He throws from a high ¾ to over the top release point. Harstine’s fastball was 76-78 mph and had some cutting action at times. He threw a 68-71 mph slider that had a quick downer action at times. We didn't get an especially long look at Harstine and wouldn't mind a longer chance to evaluate him in the future. With his size and good breaking ball, there has to be more velocity to come. He needs to be followed.
