Blake Owen is a 2014 SS/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Castroville, TX who attends Medina Valley HS. Young live bodied athletic build. 6.76 runner, quick feet in the infield with sound fundamental footwork, playable arm strength, quick exchange and release, tends to be down late with his glove, tools to play up. Right handed hitter, spread stance with high hands, no stride but transfers hips, limited lower half use, quick hands, ball jumps well when squared, line drive contact, can improve with adjustments and additional strength. Good student.
