Blake Kummer is a 2007 OF/P with a 5'11'', 160 lb. frame from Orlando FL, who attends Dr. Phillips HS. He has a medium build and a slender frame that is just starting to add strength. Kummer has a nice combination of speed and arm strength in the outfield and his arm strength could further improve with some fundamental work on his release. He threw 85 mph during outfield drills and ran the 60 in 7.09. Kummer hits from a rock back load and does a good job waiting back on the ball and hitting through it. He maintained an inside out approach in games and made solid line drive contact. During BP he showed more of an ability to pull the ball. He has a young body and should continue to improve his raw bat speed as he gets stronger. Kummer is a very good student.
