2004 Midwest Top Prospect Showcase
Vince Bucci is a 2004 left handed outfielder from Canada who is taking his fifth year of high school this year. He had a good workout at the Midwest Showcase, running a 7.01-60, and showing good arm strength from the outfield. At the plate, Bucci tends to lean back and pull off the ball in his swing, which affects his balance and overall bat speed. Keeping his head on, and looking to use the entire field would help. With his smooth arm stroke, his left handedness, and his 83 mph velocity from the outfield, we are thinking that Bucci might have a future as a pitcher as well. He's very athletic and projects nicely.
