Schmidley is a powerful 6'0/187 with a strong arm. Not surprisingly his game revolves around his immense power potential. He has a short quick swing with a long extended finish. The ball really jumps off the wood bat. He hit a couple of long home runs in BP. Schmidley is a good enough athlete who could get to the big leagues some day because of that power bat. He must be down right dangerous with a metal bat in his hands. He will likely end up at a top academic.baseball school. Will is a star in the classroom as well, 4.6 GPA, 1410 SAT.
