David Scoggins is a 2013 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Denver, NC who attends Lincoln Charter. Long frame, strong build. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot, short arm action, compact release, online delivery. Arm side run on fastball, sink on changeup, 1-7 break on curveball with tight spin, good feel for slider with sharp break, good command. Low hand set, long swing, loft in swing, hits from an open stance, good bat speed, power approach with pull side tendency, has strength. Moves well defensively with good footwork at 1B. Very good student.
