2005 World Showcase
Zach Shy is a 2005 catcher/first baseman from Bamhart, Missouri, with a 6'1", 215 lb. frame. Defensively, he shows solid arm strength with plus accuracy. Shy put his throws right on the second base bag with regularity. He took a good batting practice showing a very good left handed swing. He has very good bat speed with a slight loft in his swing, and shows power potential, especially to the pull side. Shy has good balance and gets good leverage in his swing. He showed a good approach at the plate with solid swing mechanics. He will hit at the next level.
