Greg Smyers is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Grand Prairie, TX who attends So Grand Prairie. Has a large projectable frame with a strong build. Pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed fields his position well and has good command of his pitches and can throw them all for strikes. His curveball has good tight 2-7 break to it and gets good down action on his change-up. Has a large frame at first base with good hands and good feet which allow him to save errors. Starts with a tall slightly open stance at the plate. Has bat speed with a good swing makes hard contact with good actions. Is an intriguing prospect to follow.
