Derrick Walls is a 2013 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Eagle Point, OR who attends Eagle Point. Walls has a medium frame with a thin lean build. Defensively, he has quick feet and moves well to the ball. He has good actions on the infield with a quick release. Walls has good hands and profiles best at 2B. Wall is a switch hitter, from the right side he starts with an open stance and uses a foot lift trigger to start his swing. He looks to pull and showed some lift. From the left side, he has a similar approach with better bat speed and solid contact to the pull side. Presently has better hitting tools from the left side. Good student.
