Zachary Pies is a 2006 catcher from Pittsford, New York. Pies has a big and strong 6'2", 220 pound frame, and was named to the Underclass Top Prospect Team. Offensively, he’s a big, powerful switch hitter with a raw swing and plus raw power. He has very strong hands and showed power to all fields in batting practice. Behind the plate he showed a 1.91 pop time during workouts, and threw out several runners during games. Pies has quick feet with a good, quick transfer and a good release. Zachory is a good prospect and a good student.
