Toby Buchanan is a 2015 C/SS with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Suffolk, VA who attends Nansemond-Suffolk Academy. Medium, athletic build and has room to grow. Ran a 7.10 60 yard dash. Arm strength is still developing behind the plate, but has an excellent transfer and gets rid of the ball quickly. makes consistent, online throws. Bats right-handed, hits from a slightly open stance and carries his hands high. Has a compact swing path and has lift in his swing. Good player on both sides of the ball. Very good student.
