Patrick (PJ) Gravalec is a 2016 LHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Pope HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength. Loose and quick arm from a high 3/4's arm slot, gets good extension out front, stays tall on his backside and works downhill well, hides the ball well and has some deception. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 83 mph, fastball gets on hitters quickly and gets some swing/miss in the zone, pitches off his fastball. Short slider, will occasionally drop his arm slot on the pitch, will flash good depth and tilt. Will need to develop a change up and improve at mixing pitches but has the base to continue to improve. Good student.
