Jacob Brewer is a 2015 LHP/1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Huntingburg, IN who attends Southridge HS. Medium, strong athlete with present agility. Ran a 7.36 60 yard dash. Carries his hands high in left-handed delivery and releases from a high three-quarter arm slot. Has a long, clean arm action and good movement on his 77-80 mph fastball. Stays off barrels and flashes sinking action. Induces groundballs. Mixes in a curveball with 11-5 rotation, also throws a harder version with movement resembling a cutter at times. Changeup has good fading action. Deep arsenal. Also swung the bat from both sides, hits the ball to all fields and shows good balance. Gets long at times. Solid contact. Shows a solid first base arm and moves off the bag well. Good student.
