Taye Martin is a 2015 1B/RHP with a 5-11 250 lb. frame from Greer, SC who attends Riverside HS. Large frame, strong lower half, mature build. Shows arm strength across the diamond, throws carry well, actions will continue to develop around the base. Throws from a three-quarter arm slot on the mound with a short arm action and hides the ball well. Up tempo delivery, attacks hitter with three pitch mix. Fastball topped at 80 mph with arm side run, late movement with cutting action on changeup, and shows good tilt with sharp bite on 71 mph slider. Right handed batter, quick bat with fast hands, long loose, strong swing, aggressive in box, sound approach. Has some strength with ability to add more in the future. Named to National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect Team.
