David Riojas is a 2015 SS/RHP with a 6-1, 170 lb. frame from Buda, TX who attends Jack C Hays HS. Slender young build, plenty of room to get stronger. Long loose arm action defensively, very accurate throws, projectable arm strength, moves well to the ball and has some polish in his defensive game, may end up at third base eventually. Right handed hitter, deep early load, line drive swing plane, hits to all fields, hands a bit soft at contact and will need to get stronger but handles the barrel well. Should continue to improve with additional strength. Also pitched, short compact arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, gets down hill well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, mostly straight with good angle. Curveball showed hard spin and power up to 74 mph, sharp 12/6 biting action, quality pitch. Projectable young player in all areas.
