Nick Poirier is a 2015 SS/3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Alamo, CA who attends San Ramon Valley HS. Medium athletic build, prototypical middle infielder's look. 6.94 runner, moves well to the ball in the infield, charges hard and works through the ball, polished Southern California actions, soft hands, makes accurate throws, keeps his footwork balanced, raw arm strength playable at shortstop but best suited for second base. Left handed hitter, big stride into contact, will dive in a times and get off balanced, aggressive hitter, handles the barrel well, lots of contact in the air, has hitting tools to develop with some adjustments. Very good student.
