Preston Betz is a 2015 RHP/SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Plano West Senior. Betz has a medium build, high 3/4 arm slot from a short arm action. Worked from stretch only, online delivery with good hip rotation and a quick arm.. Threw to spots and controlled the bottom of the zone, but showed he could elevate fastball when he needed to. Curveball had 11/5 spin. Hit from a square stance, aggressive line drive swing plane with mid field approach. Hands work well to the ball. Defensively, good carry on throws across diamond.
