Philip Chase Evans is a 2016 OF/RHP/MIF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Kingwood, TX who attends Kingwood HS. Long limbed athletic build, projects very well physically. Right handed hitter, long and loose swing with good extension out front, understands the zone well but swings aggressively and looks to drive the ball, hard contact to the middle of the field, ball carries well with back spin, swing very well in games and showed his potential. 6.83 runner, aggressive routes and actions to the ball on defense, over the top throwing motion with good carry on his throws, solid fundamentals. Also pitched, smooth delivery, arm works well from a high 3/4's arm strength, short stride out front can be lengthened a bit, primary fastball pitcher who topped out at 84 mph, secondary pitches still developing but flashed good depth on his curveball. Very good athlete who projects and performs. Good student.
