Wade Walton is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Jensen Beach, FL who attends Jensen Beach. XL frame with very good build throughout body, excellent projection. Pitches with good, balanced delivery throughout; longer arm action up to high 3/4 slot, downhill well with good plane to plate due to height and slot. FB worked in the 86-88 range with some life to the arm side at the bottom of the zone; was able to command the offering pretty well. Showed quality feel for curveball in the low-mid 70's with good depth and tight spin. Hits with high hand set and high back elbow, wide base with toe tap trigger, very short to the ball with lift at contact. Separation is present along with extension through contact. Easy swing with excellent strength throughout. Worked well at 1B, showing good athleticism throughout actions and comfort around the bag; throwing 92 MPH across the infield. Named to 2015 Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
