Gustavo Garcia is a 2015 C with a 5-11 158 lb. frame from Juncos, PR who attends Colegio Nuestra Senora del Perpetuo Socorro. Medium frame with a lean, projectable frame. Ran a 7.19 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, shows a quick transfer with arm strength that will continue to develop. Longer arm action, footwork plays, stays low receiving and on throws down to second base. Short arm action from the outfield, quick arm, moves well on feet. Right handed batter, stays balanced through swing. Length to swing but shows strength and bat speed, controls the barrel of the bat well, gets good extension. Uppercut swing, gets ball in the air, pull side approach. Good student.
