Jairus Richards is a 2015 SS/3B, RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Gig Harbor, WA who attends Bellarmine Preparatory. Medium frame, long thin build with room to fill. Recent developmental progress on the mound has begun to make him look more and more like a legitimate two-way player, if not a future primary pitcher. The arm strength that has stood out in the outfield in the past has begun to translate to the mound. Pitches from a three quarters arm slot with deceptive plane to his sharp 12-6 curveball and slider that resemebles that of his fastball. Also showed good range in the infield with the ability to throw from multiple slots as dictated by each individual play. Quiet approach at the plate, gap to gap hitter with a line drive swing plane from a low hand set, uses the whole field. Good student.
